1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Lumi Chrome extension and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Ellvero ("we", "us", or "our"). By installing or using Lumi, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Lumi is an AI-powered browser companion available as a Chrome extension. The Service includes:

  • AI-powered text summarisation, rewriting, explanation, and chat.
  • Live Lens — contextual insights based on the page you are viewing.
  • Deep Memory Engine — on-device learning of your preferences and context.
  • Smart Model Routing — automatic routing of tasks to optimal AI models (Claude, GPT-4o, Gemini).
  • Credit-based usage system with free monthly credits and purchasable credit packs.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Lumi. If you are under 18, you must have consent from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Accounts & Authentication

You may sign up using email (with OTP or magic link) or Google OAuth. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to abuse the free credit allocation.

5. Credits & Payments

  • Every user receives 30 free AI credits per month, replenished on their billing cycle.
  • Additional credits can be purchased as one-time credit packs via the Lumi extension.
  • Payments are processed securely by Cashfree Payments. We do not store your card details.
  • All prices are displayed and charged in USD via Cashfree.
  • Purchased credits are non-transferable and tied to your Lumi account.
  • Purchased credits do not expire.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Lumi for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or tamper with the extension or its API.
  • Use automated scripts or bots to consume credits or abuse the Service.
  • Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or security measures.
  • Upload or transmit malicious content through the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

The Lumi extension, website, branding, and associated materials are the intellectual property of Ellvero. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Service for personal or internal business use. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works based on the Service.

8. AI-Generated Content

Lumi uses third-party AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) to generate responses. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any content before relying on it. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of AI outputs for any particular purpose.

9. Privacy & Data

Your use of Lumi is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Deep Memory Engine stores data locally on your device. Page content sent to AI providers is processed per their respective privacy policies. We strip personally identifiable information (PII) before making AI calls where possible.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ellvero shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using Lumi at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your purchased credits will be forfeited unless otherwise required by law.

12. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the extension or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
